The Happy Artist LLC is a small family run business, headquartered in the Town of Manlius, five hours North and West of N.Y.C. in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York. Our businesses ( The Happy Artist, The Pattycake Doll Company, SleepySoft.com, and MyAdoptedChild.com ) have been in operation in one form or another since 1978.

Question: What do you mean by your statement: 10% of profits are donated to charity? Answer: We donate 10% of all profits from ALL operations of The Happy Artist LLC. This includes PattycakeDoll.com , My AdoptedChild.com, and SleepySoft.com. The 10% figure is determined by our accountants when they prepare our corporate taxes.*

Question: Who decides which charities you give to? Answer: We do! Obviously there are thousands of deserving organizations, and we realized years ago that we couldn't help everyone. Although we currently give primarily to The Make-A-Wish Foundation; *  we also contribute to numerous other charities that work for the welfare of children.

What is your warranty? Answer: Unconditional...no if's and's or buts. If you buy it from us; you can return it to us. The only exception is that after 90 days (a fiscal quarter) we will not refund the 10% that we will have already given to charity. Also although we don't charge a re-stocking fee, for the merchandise, we do not refund our shipping and handling costs, since they were already incurred and paid by us.

Please explain your shipping charges and prices. There are many different ways to ship our products, and the different companies use different formulas to charge us by, some go by zip code, some by weight and size package etc. Some of our suppliers charge us to ship their items to us, some don't! The post office supplies boxes in certain sizes free... sometimes we need to buy bubble wrap and other supplies. The Credit Card company charges a processing fee to approve your credit card purchases. We have tried to cost-average our expenses down as much as possible to save you money. Although we ship our products via US Mail, our suppliers ship to us via other methods (and especially with the rise in fuel costs) we are seeing our inbound freight increase dramatically.)
