We are not however, experts on adoption. In fact, based on our extensive research into the subject, we don't think anyone is! There are over Nine THOUSAND books 'on adoption' listed by Amazon! Books for adopted children, by adopted children, parents, relatives... fiction, psychology, search, attachment. So no, let us not pretend. Our expertise is adoption announcements and adoption party invitations, that are original, unique, clever and intelligent; And by the way, we want to thank you for visiting our site!

Any order may be returned no questions asked. Unfortunately we cannot refund the shipping and handling charges that we have already spent to send you your original package.

MyAdoptedChild's shopping cart system is hosted by Storesonline; Your shopping cart information is kept private and on their secure servers, not on our store's PC.

Your credit card transactions are also secure, as we use Authorize.net. When you type in your credit card information and submit your order, the information is  transmitted not stored.  As soon as Authorize.net approves your credit card for the order they notify us by e-mail and clear the information. We never see or store your credit card number, so it's impossible for the bad guys to get it from us...we don't have it!

Our order form does not ask for your phone number, and an e-mail address is optional (although recommended - it is how we send you your receipt)...
we don't ask you for any information we don't need to ship you your Adoption Cards or Adoption Gifts!

Our Charitable Gifting Policy

 Question: What do you mean by your statement: 10% of profits are donated to charity?

Answer: We donate 10% of all profits from all operations of The Happy Artist LLC. This includes our online sites SleepySoft.com, MyAdoptedChild.com®, PattycakeDoll.com and BooksAndDolls.com. The 10% figure is determined by our accountants when they prepare our corporate taxes.*

Question: Who decides which charities you give to?

Answer: We do! Obviously there are thousands of deserving organizations, and we realized years ago that we couldn't help everyone. Since the majority of our products are geared to children and their parents, The Happy Artist LLC charity gifting is generally, though not exclusively, geared to organizations that also concentrate on children. 

*Please note: The Happy Artist LLC charitable donation policy includes only those products crafted or designed by our own craftspeople and sold on our site. Charitable gifting is not a requirement for our vendors or suppliers

Warranty and Shipping policies

What is your warranty? Answer: Unconditional...no if's and's or buts. If you buy it from us; you can return it to us. The only exception is that after 90 days (a fiscal quarter) we will not refund the 10% that we will have already given to charity. Also although we don't charge a re-stocking fee, for the merchandise, we do not refund our shipping and handling costs, since they were already incurred and paid by us.

What are your shipping charges? For orders to the United States, we ship via US Priority Mail and have a flat rate of $5.00

If you live Outside the United States: For International orders, please send us an email request, tell us how many 10pks you wish to order. We will calculate your shipping charges and send you a PayPal invoice. (You do not have to me a current member). PayPal allows us to convert international currency and let you know in advance your exact shipping charges.

For each visitor to our Web page, our Web server automatically recognizes no information regarding the domain or e-mail address. We collect the e-mail address of those who communicate with us via e-mail, aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit, user specific information on what pages consumers access or visit and information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information and/or site registrations. The information we collect is used for internal review and is then discarded, used to improve the content of our Web page, used to customize the content and/or layout of our page for individual consumer and used by us to contact consumers for marketing purposes.
