That's what Addie and I and the staff at The Happy Artist Studios had in mind when we designed these two new Ethiopian Adoption Announcements and Ethiopian Baby Shower Invitations... we knew you wanted cards that not only connect you to your loved ones, but that can also remove some of the mystery that surrounds Ethiopia in your friend's and family's minds.
The first Ethiopia Adoption Card design was inspired by Ethiopian Icon painting. Ethiopian Artists and craftsmen have been creating these magnificent folk art icons for over 1600 years! ; Our Icon series comes in three formats: An Ethiopian Adoption Announcement Card, an Ethiopian Baby Shower Invitation, and a note card that features the Ethiopian Icon on the front panel and then a blank interior... for thank-you's and /or a short note and to enclose a picture.
The second series, features a single Calla Lily and a fitting symbol for the beauty of your child who after all is also a 'flower' of Ethiopia!
As every flower lover knows there is a 'language of flowers' - Calla Lillies represent 'Magnificent Beauty.' Isn't that a perfect adoption card for your new ethiopian child!
