Well, the process starts when Addie and I sit down with our staff and start brainstorming... "There were over 2200 Ethiopian Adoptions last year folks, almost as many as Korea and Russia combined! Nobody else seems to be making cards for these folks, and we're getting lots of requests... let's see if we can help them.
And so it goes for several weeks as our staff does it's research, make sketches and presentations, until as a group we come to a consensus.
"Well, those Korean National Flower Rose of Sharon cards do well..."
""They adopt all ages in Ethiopia... so it can't be too babyish..."
"It's not like China where they're mostly girls... we need cards for Boy adoptions too..."
and then we start ironing out the details...
"Calla Lily's come in all colors... we can make it colorful..."
" Let's use the Bavand Typeface, it's similar to the scripts used in Northern Africa..."
"What about this blue panel frame... it will reinforce the North African feel...
And then, after several weeks, we have a design, and one of our artists goes to work producing the final drawings and designs.
