As far as Addie and I are concerned, Adoption is about love, not race. But google "transracial adoption," and you'll get 90,000 pages returned! So we're thinking "Wow! That's a lot of potential customers who may not give a hoot what we think, and may very well be looking for Transracial Adoption announcements. And then if you add Biracial Adoption  (61,000 pages returned by Google) and Multiracial adoption (64,000 pages) we're like totally shocked. Now obviously those are not the numbers of kids being adopted, (can you imagine how beautiful it would be if it was?) But it definitely indicates interest.

Now our job at the Happy Artist Studios is to give you, the customer, what you're looking for. But we also have to live up to our own standards, right? So what we've tried to do is walk the middle path here... designed Transracial Adoption Announcements and adoption shower invitations that can be used for transracial, multiracial and biracial adoptions that celebrate the 'adoption' without bringing 'race' into it at all.

PS: Like Gay Adoption, Transracial Adoption seems to attract it's share of wingnuts. Before anybody gets up on their particular P.C. high horse... STOP! We are merchants trying to fulfill a need... People are adopting transracially. Those people might want an adoption announcement that acknowledges that. We have tried to create inoffensive adoption stationery for those people.
